11 peoples received severe burns injuries when a can of kerosene exploded during funeral in Pune

Pune: In an shocking Incident, the 11 peoples were received severe burned injuries when a can of kerosene exploded during the cremation of a man at Kailash crematorium ground here on Saturday evening.

The fire brigade said that many people have gone to attain the funeral of one Deepak Prakash Kamble ( aged 45 ), had committed suicide by hanging himself at Mahatma Phule Vasahat, Tadiwala Road on Saturday.

He was taken to Kailas Cemetery this evening for his funeral. While the kerosene was being poured out of the can so that the wood where dead body was kept could be consumed quickly during the funeral.

The can of kerosene caught fire and the man left the can. As a result, 11 people were burnt in the blast and they are undergoing treatment at government run Sassoon Hospital, police said.

All who received burned injuries were close relatives of the deceased, police said. (UNI)
