Pune: A bank manager was killed while Rs 2,50,000 stolen on Wednesday in an armed robbery reported from the Shirur taluka of this district.
According to police, two unidentified robbers stormed into the bank this afternoon when bank manager Dashrath Bhor and one woman employee were present in the bank.
They held Bhor on gunpoint and intimidated him to hand over the cash. As the victim refused to comply, they shot at him and killed him on the spot, police stated.
Subsequently, they looted the cash and sped away on motorcycle. A manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits, police added. (UNI)
