Haryana: 22-year-old dies after injecting drug on private part; was not able to get married

Drug addiction took the life of another youth in Dabwali tehsil of Sirsa district in Haryana. The 22-year-old reportedly died after injecting drugs on his private part.

This is the third death in the village due to drug addiction in the last five months.

The incident took place on Friday, when only deceased’s grandfather was at home. The family is engaged in labour works, so they had went to work.

After giving tea to the grandfather, he went to the toilet to get intoxicated. He prepared a solution of drug and injected it on his private part. When the grandfather heard his screaming, he went to the toilet and found him dead.

The deceased's uncle said that the family discovered about his drug addiction about one and a half years ago. They admitted him to a de-addiction centre in Bathinda. About four months ago, he returned to the village and started taking drugs again. Due to drug addiction, the youth was also not able to get married.
