A shocking case of murder has come to light in Hyderabad’s Saidabad area, where a woman is accused of killing her husband by mixing sleeping pills in his toddy. The police have taken the accused into custody and registered a case of suspicious death.

Gishan (45), a flower vendor, had been married to Ayesha Parveen for several years. According to the police, the couple had a strained relationship and frequent fights.

Some reports claimed that Ayesha had previously filed a domestic violence complaint against Gishan at the LB Nagar police station.

Tensions in the marriage reportedly intensified recently after Gishan began suspecting his wife of having an extramarital affair. A heated argument took place just days before the incident, according to the police.

Authorities now believe that Ayesha, angered by the constant accusations, allegedly hatched a plan to eliminate her husband.

Police suspect that two days ago, Ayesha mixed sleeping pills in toddy and made Gishan drink it. Soon after consuming the drink, Gishan fell unconscious.

Fearing the consequences, Ayesha rushed him to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, Gishan died while undergoing treatment.

Police conducted an autopsy on Saturday and registered a criminal case. Investigators are awaiting toxicology reports and further evidence to confirm the exact cause of death and sequence of events.
