During a heartwarming interaction with India’s World Cup–winning women’s cricket team, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was caught off guard by an unexpected — and hilarious — question about his skincare routine! The lighthearted moment had everyone in the room bursting into laughter.

The fun question came from top-order batter Harleen Deol, who complimented the Prime Minister by saying he “glows a lot.” PM Modi smiled and replied modestly, “I did not pay much attention to this…” as he addressed the players on Wednesday. The clip of the conversation aired on Thursday and quickly went viral.

All-rounder Sneh Rana then playfully added, “It is the love of his countrymen that makes him glow,” to which PM Modi agreed, saying, “Of course it is. It’s a huge source of strength. I’ve been in government for 25 years now. Despite everything, the blessings keep coming in, and it truly has a lasting impact.”

Coach Amol Muzumdar also joined in the fun, joking, “Now you see what kind of questions come up — they’re all different characters! It’s been 20 years of coaching them, and my hair has turned grey.”

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur recalled their earlier meeting with the Prime Minister in 2017, saying, “I still remember when we met you in 2017, we came without a trophy. But this time, it’s a great honour to bring it here after so many years of hard work. Our goal is to meet you again and again — with more trophies each time.”

The Indian women’s cricket team recently made history by defeating South Africa in Navi Mumbai to clinch their first-ever ICC Women’s ODI World Cup title, marking a proud and emotional moment for the nation.
