Dev Uthani Ekadashi 2025: 5 Powerful Tulsi Remedies to Attract Wealth and Goddess Lakshmi’s Blessings

According to the Hindu calendar, Dev Uthani Ekadashi will be observed on November 1, 2025. Celebrated every year on the Ekadashi tithi of Kartik Shukla Paksha, this sacred day is also known as Dev Prabodhini Ekadashi. On this day, it is believed that Lord Vishnu awakens from his four-month-long divine sleep (Chaturmas). Worshipping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi on this occasion is said to absolve all sins and bring prosperity and peace to one’s life.

Along with Lord Vishnu’s worship, special rituals dedicated to Goddess Tulsi are also performed on this day. Tulsi is considered an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi herself, and performing certain sacred remedies on Dev Uthani Ekadashi is believed to bring immense blessings and financial abundance.

1. Offer Tulsi Leaves in Bhog

During the Vishnu puja on Dev Uthani Ekadashi, devotees should offer Tulsi leaves along with the bhog (food offering). It is believed that this pleases Lord Vishnu, who fulfills all desires. However, Tulsi leaves should not be plucked on the day of Ekadashi. Instead, they should be picked a day before and kept aside for worship. 

2. Light Diyas Near the Tulsi Plant

In the evening, worship Goddess Tulsi and light diyas (lamps) near her plant. After that, circumambulate the Tulsi plant 5 or 7 times, praying for happiness and peace in the household. Lighting ghee lamps during this ritual is said to invite prosperity and drive away negativity.

3. Chant These Sacred Mantras

Chanting Tulsi mantras on Dev Uthani Ekadashi enhances good fortune and removes negativity. The most auspicious mantras are- “Mahaprasada Janani Sarva Saubhagyavardhini, Aadhi Vyadhi Hara Nityam Tulasi Tvam Namostute” and “Tulasi Tvam Namo Namah Paapam Hara Haripriye.”

Reciting these mantras with devotion is believed to attract Goddess Lakshmi’s grace and blessings. 

4. Perform Tulsi’s 16 Adornments (Solah Shringar)

Devotees should also recite the Tulsi Chalisa and perform Solah Shringar (sixteen adornments) of Goddess Tulsi on this day. It is said that this ritual brings immense wealth, prosperity, and harmony to the home.

5. Offer Sugarcane Juice to Goddess Tulsi

Offering sugarcane juice to Goddess Tulsi on Dev Uthani Ekadashi is considered highly auspicious. Pour a little sugarcane juice and water at the base of the Tulsi plant. This act is believed to bring happiness, prosperity, and freedom from financial troubles.
