Former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev shared his thoughts on the ongoing Champions Trophy row and emphasised the role of the government in such decisions.

Commenting on the issue, Kapil Dev stated, "It's the government's responsibility. People like us should not give opinions, our opinions don't matter. Kapil Dev can't be bigger than anyone else."

The 2025 mega event tournament is scheduled to take place in Pakistan in February-March, marking the first international event to be hosted by the country since 2008. However, BCCI has refused to send Team India to neighbor country citing longstanding security and political concerns and Pakistan stand firm on holding matches within its borders.
Meanwhile, the ICC has announced a revised schedule for the trophy tour after the BCCI objected to the trophy being paraded in Muzaffarabad, Skardu and the Hunza Calley.
