India's badminton star Jwala Gutta has earned widespread admiration for a heartfelt initiative that is saving lives. After giving birth to her daughter Mira in April, Jwala has been actively contributing to a breast milk donation drive at a government hospital, benefiting premature and critically ill newborns.

Taking to social media, Jwala highlighted the importance of donor milk for premature and critically ill infants. Sharing her mission on X (formerly Twitter), she wrote: “Breast milk saves lives. For premature and sick babies, donor milk can be life-changing. If you’re able to donate, you could be a hero to a family in need. Learn more, share the word, and support milk banks!"

30 Litres of Breast Milk Donated So Far

According to reports, Jwala has donated nearly 30 litres of breast milk over the past four months. Her regular contributions have been aimed at helping newborns who need vital nutrition and immunity support during their most vulnerable stage.

Jwala and her husband, actor-producer Vishnu Vishal, tied the knot on April 22, 2021. Exactly four years later, on their wedding anniversary, the couple welcomed their daughter Mira. Vishnu announced the joyful news on social media with pictures of the newborn's tiny hands alongside his elder son Aryan, writing:

"We are blessed with a BABY GIRL.. Aryan is an elder brother now… It’s our 4th wedding anniversary today… On the same day, we welcome this gift from the Almighty…Need all your love and blessings."
